Our mechanics are extremely knowledgeable in a wide variety of vehicles both foreign and domestic. Combined we have over 24 years of experience in Automotive Diagnosis and Repair.
We offer Auto and Truck Repair for all of Gunnison County.

These folks assisted us with a brake problem on our late model Dodge-chassis motorhome – after the town’s Dodge dealer wouldn’t make time for us (there was a defect under warranty and we were 2000 miles from home). Mechanic-on-Duty’s work was expert and their charge nominal.

BTW, our problems w/ Dodge persisted when we got home. I had to go out-of-channel from their corporate customer service department to finally get satisfaction. But Mechanic-on-Duty’s work was solid.

Mechanic on Duty is one of the top mechanic shops in the Gunnison valley. The guys are very knowledgable and DO NOT gouge you on prices. The turn around on regularly scheduled maintenance (i.e. oil changes) is so fast it’s hard to ever want to take your vehicles anywhere else. Everyone I know that has had service done here always goes back!
